The Croxley Green Community Centre is on Community Way near the library on New Street, a short walk or drive from several of the local primary schools. During term-time the After School Club runs until 6.00 pm. We collect children from Yorke Mead, Little Green, Malvern Way and Harvey Road.
We are based in a large hall with a kitchen, storage facilities and toilets. In the afternoon we set out the hall with a wide range of different activities including table football, air hockey, a home corner, book corner, den and lots of construction kits including Lego, mobilo, stickle bricks, etc. We also have an organised art and craft activity each day and a table with colouring pictures and paper for drawing. The three computers, wii and tablets are always popular with the children, particularly the wii connected to a large screen TV! This is a great way for children from different schools to come together and get to know each other.
In the afternoon we start by sitting down to a hot snack. Children can choose to be taken to the adventure playground in Barton Way, weather permitting. There is a large car park for parents to drop their children in the morning and collect them in the evening.
